The main walkthroughYou've got a picture — now let's finish the on-screen setup and get everything signed in and ready to watch. Work through the steps in order, or jump to the troubleshooting section if you hit a snag.
Please read first: This is a general reference walkthrough — not specific to your device or account, written to help you follow the prompts on your own screen. It is not official manufacturer activation or support, and TV Mount Wise does not activate devices, create accounts, or handle sign-ins for you. Real activation happens on your TV and with your device maker or service provider. We will never ask for your passwords or payment details.
Each step is short on purpose. Do them in order and you'll reach the "all set" screen without the guesswork.
Unbox, place it on a steady stand or secure mount, and give it power. Make sure the remote has fresh batteries before you begin.
Plug in any devices via HDMI. If you prefer a wired connection, run an Ethernet cable from your router to the TV now.
Press power, then use the Source or Input button to reach the TV's own home screen so the setup wizard can appear.
Choose your language and region, then accept the prompts as they appear. Take your time — there's no rush and nothing you can break.
Pick your home network from the list and enter the password exactly, watching for capital letters on the on-screen keyboard.
If the TV platform asks, sign in with your existing account or make one. This happens directly on the manufacturer's or service's own screen — not through us.
Let any first-run software update finish, confirm your preferences, and wait for the home screen to appear. That's the finish line.
If a step won't cooperate, don't worry. The accordion below covers the most common activation and setup hiccups.
Tap a topic to open it. Everything here is keyboard-friendly — use Tab to move and Enter or Space to expand.
Most Wi-Fi troubles come down to the wrong network or a small typo. Work through these in order:
Usually the TV is showing the wrong input rather than its own menu.
A quiet remote is nearly always batteries or pairing.
If the TV joins the network but nothing loads, the internet path is the thing to check.
Sign-in trouble is usually a typo or a forgotten password — both easy to sort out on the official screen.
First-run updates can look frozen when they're simply taking a while.
